Vienna Music Examination Board
The Board (Vienna Music Examination Board; German: 'Wiener Musik-Prüfungskommission), is an accreditation body and authority on professional graded practical music examination and early childhood music education programs.
Board Council
The Board Council, which consists of Board Council Members, is the decision body of the Board.
Board Committee
Board Committee consists of members of institutions, conservatories, professional bodies, and world reputable music associations such as world leading composer associations. In additional, all Board Council Members are also members of the Board Committee by default.
Exam Administration Office (Overseas)
The Board has established an International Exam Administration Office in Hong Kong, responsible for administrating the Board's daily administration work and operations outside Austria, and to coordinate with the Board's other local Exam Administration Offices in overseas.
MUSIC EXAM AND MUSICAL INSTRUMENT PRACTICE TEACHING
Certified Music Learning Centre / Exam Centre
VMEB Certified Music Learning Centres are the organizations accredited by the Board for organizing and offering musical instrument practice programs/lessons for preparing the Board's music exam, and authorized by the Board to act as the exam centre for the Board's music exam.
Certified Music Tutor
VMEB Certified Music Tutors are the qualified music teachers accredited by the Board to teach musical instrument practice for preparing the Board's music exam. They are also authorized by the Board to act as exam supervisor (NOT Examiner) in the Board's music exam.
EARLY CHILDHOOD MUSIC EDUCATION TEACHING
Certified Early Childhood Music Education Training Centre
VMEB Certified ECME Training Centres are the organizations approved and authorized by the Board to organize and offer the Board's Early Childhood Music Education (ECME) program using the Board's syllabus. Students successfully completed the ECME program conducted by VMEB Certified Trainer at VMEB Certified ECME Training Centre are eligible to receive early childhood music education graduate certificate issued by the Board, subject to satisfaction of other requirements.
The Board demands a very high standard and requirements for VMEB Certified ECME Training Centre. Any organization wishing to apply to register to be VMEB Certified ECME Training Centre must meet and maintain all the requirements set by the Board at all time.
Certified Early Childhood Music Education Trainer
VMEB Certified ECME Trainers are the qualified teachers approved and authorized by the Board to teach the Board's Early Childhood Music Education (ECME) program.
There are three ways to register to be VMEB Certified ECME Trainer:- 1. Apply directly to the Board; 2. Nominated by VMEB Certified ECME Training Centre; 3. Attend Certified Trainer program/workshop which are accredited by the Board and pass the assessment.
